Insensitive

Who is this company who seems to take the word ‘cost-cutting’ to another level? This company invited various groups to attend an event that will allow this company to showcase and discuss their new offerings. The event was scheduled in the afternoon.

A respectable number of guests arrived and was directed to sit in the seminar hall, they were promised a great time and will be provided with new and exciting product innovations. Little did the guests know that while their brains will be filled with knowledge, their stomachs will be filled with air.

Aside from water, coffee and tea, this company did not prepare any food — as in nothing. The presentation lasted for hours and no food was served or was around the area. The speaker did invite the guests to drink as many water, coffee and tea but that was it.

If I were the guests, I would have a taken a lot of water, coffee or tea, excuse myself to do some nature call and leave the event.

To this company, you invited people to come and listen to your sales pitch and you still have the nerve to starve them? Is this part of your cost-cutting measures? If it is, you should not have arrange the event at all or you should have indicated in your invitation that your guests should bring their own food.

The croaking stomach of your guests are just too loud that is why your secret is a secret no more.

To Each His Own

Who is this executive who has his own style in doing nature calls? This executive was seen entering a rest room and he went straight to a urinal, unbutton his pants and allowed his pants to drop way below his knees and did what he needs to do.

After the much needed relief, this executive fixed his shirt and pulled up his pants.

Although unusual, we don’t really care how you do it. We will even go the extent of saying that we respect your preferences. Just a word of advice, next time please do it inside a cubicle where you will have a little privacy.

Doing it outside the cubicle caught the attention of people inside the restroom, that is why your secret is a secret no more.

Double Jeopardy

Who is this organizer who is in hot water nowadays? This organizer is committing people to attend various events and projects. The scheme goes like this — if there’s an event, this organizer will offer his/her services and will boast that he/she is known and respected in his/her industry.

Inviting his/her peers to attend the event is no sweat according to this organizer, but of course it would entail some fees. Companies trusted the words of this organizer and provided the downpayment.

Event time came, only a few showed up. The company started to call the organizer but could not be contacted. Next, the company called the list of invitees provided by this organizer. And to their surprise, the invitees were not aware of the event and was shocked to find out that their names were given by this organizer.

To the companies duped by this organizer, next time check first before you believe. There’s nothing wrong in trusting but there’s nothing wrong to verify as well. There are a lot of people around in the industry who claim to be like this and that but they are all false / fake. They do this for fame and personal gains. They’re all over so be careful.

To this organizer, do you think you can get away with your operation? The industry is so small and with the current technology, your dubious schemes will be discovered. Now, you’re blacklisted with the companies you dealt with and the people you committed to attend the events are up and arms with what you did.

Information travels very fast especially if it’s coming from two sides of the industry that is why your secret is a secret no more.

Bad Taste

Who is this reporter who is “super kapal ang mukha” (a shameless person / dense-faced )? This reporter attended a press conference and asked the host if he/she can review the product that was presented during the launched.

The host said yes and the reporter got the product for review. After a week, this reporter went back to the company and told the company that he/she fell in love with the product and would want to keep the product for good. Out of courtesy, the company said yes.

After another week, this reporter again went back to see the company. This reporter said that he/she wanted to replace his/her product (given to him/her by the company) to a higher model. The company politely said that it is not possible.

The reporter got mad and threaten the company of negative write-ups.

To this reporter, who do you think you are? The company has been so kind and generous to you and yet you still can’t find contentment. Worst, you even threaten them after your request was rejected? Unbelievable. You’re out of this world really. Or should I say you should get out of this world.

Your boasting gave you away. Your collegues cannot believe that you got an expensive gift for nothing because according to them, you are nothing – that is why your secret is a secret no more.
