Who is this PR group (PRG) who has this bad habit of committing things but cannot deliver its commitment?
The story starts when a multi-national company hired the services of this PRG for a press event. The task of this PRG is to invite the members of the press to the event.
A few days before the event, this PRG submitted the names of press members who according to this PRG confirmed their attendance. For whatever reason, this multi-national company asked their local partner to call the list of names provided by the PRG.
The local partner did call and discovered that none of the press who’s names were listed knew of the event. The local partner had to send their own press invites and alerted the PRG about the development.
All of a sudden, this PRG started sending emails, texting and even calling press members informing them about the event. Too late the hero, the multi-national company was so disappointed to know that this PRG actually lied to them.
To this PRG, you are paid to do a very simple thing – invite the press. Why do you have to lie? If you can’t do the job, then do not accept the project. Not only are you ruining your company’s reputation but you are also ruining our (Filipnos) image.
There’s just too many names in your press list that is why you’re secret is a secret no more.
